Demonstrating its success and potential, YourLocal was acquired by Independent News & Media, a global media juggernaut. This strategic move highlighted YourLocal’s swift ascent and its significant impact on the digital directory space in Ireland.

One Local Search (OLS), conceived and brought to life by the strategic minds at 145 East, embarked on a mission to broaden its horizons into the European digital landscape. This visionary move paved the way for the formation of YourLocal in Ireland through a significant joint venture with the global media powerhouse INM Ltd. This partnership not only symbolised 145 East’s successful foray into European markets but also underscored its commitment to fostering international collaborations and expanding its global footprint.

Australian Local Search (ALS), created by the founder of 145 East with a partner, quickly rose to prominence as the second-leading online business directory, trailing only behind Yellow Pages Online. News Limited acquired this innovative platform, rebranded as True Local, and eventually became part of Sensis, solidifying its market status. This transition exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit and strategic insight at the core of 145 East.
